Cognitive Dissonance out now.

A self-produced record built around conflicting thoughts, dense textures, and the tension between clarity and avoidance.

Kitchener-based artist, producer, and engineer.

Braden Morley makes experimental music shaped by hip hop, rock, synth textures, and detailed self-production. His work balances direct emotional writing with distorted sound design, layered arrangements, and a technical approach to building songs from the ground up.

Avoidance as distraction. Distortion from confrontation.

Cognitive Dissonance is built around contrast: synthetic, glitch-driven production mirrors dissociation and looping coping habits before guitars push the record toward consequence and confrontation. Strings and horns return throughout as signals of emotional honesty, circling questions of identity, self-protection, and whether conflicting parts of the self can be reconciled.
